This Mask is My Face: A Performative Lecture

Bunker 2

Moving through public spaces, trans bodies are both hyper-visible and invisible. In the process of revealing, something else gets concealed; we try to wear our ourselves inside out.

In an introduction to my project, A Fault Line in Me is a Fault Line in You at Bunker 2, I presented a performative lecture. In this performance, I located  the point of entrance for my research and art making wearing a mask made up of a projection on my face cast onto a latex veil.
